How Are Creditors Handled in Pre Pack Administration

One of the main reasons as to why pre pack administration has become such a popular option when it comes to getting a business sold off is that it will work around the needs of creditors instead of with the needs that creditors have in mind. This is used to help with making the entire process for getting ownership of a business transferred easy to handle.

When a new business buys up the assets of an old one in a pre pack administration it will essentially get rid of all of the past debts that the old business had. This is regardless of the value of the debts that the business was dealing with at the time. When the assets that a business have are bought out by another company that business will be seen as one that will not be able to pay back its assets to creditors because of how those assets are now owned by another larger business.

After the pre pack administration process has ended the lack of available assets to give off to creditors will be used as a means of writing off all debts that the old business had before it was taken over through a pre pack administration. Thanks to this there will be nothing new to add to the debts that a business has.

Many creditors have been crying foul over the use of pre pack administrations. This comes from how they are not getting the proper amounts of money that they are looking for. These amounts can be worth thousands or even millions of pounds in some cases. However the fact that the general economy can continue to operate properly without any harmful responses to pre pack liquidation is something that can influence some creditors to allow for this business process to work.
